STC And MENA Communication Holding Launch VoIP App Beem To Address Saudi Arabia’s Growing Need For Instant Telecommunications Services
Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Saudi Arabia’s premier mobile operator, and MENA Communication Holding Company Limited, a mobile application developer, have launched Beem, an instant messaging (IM) app for the Saudi Arabia market. Available to both Android and IoS users, Beem can be used for IM and high-quality voice and video calls, as well as business services. Beem, which runs on voice over internet protocol (VoIP) technology, has been created to cater to both personal as well as professional uses.
Moreover, it does not require users to buy an extra subscription from Saudi Arabia’s telco operators, including the most commonly used ones such as STC, Zain and Mobily. Within the context of personal calls, the app offers advanced and popular video filters, as well as the creation of visual stickers using a single click on the app. For working professionals, Beem offers tools, such as an Office feature which supports the sharing of text files, tables and presentations as well as the ability to edit files and work together on them directly.
In addition, Beem also offers a feature wherein users can schedule video meetings with up to 150 attendees at any given time. The app also offers shared task management and a synchronized calendar that supports linking to external applications. Beem is also available as Windows and Apple Mac desktop versions. The app was launched during Leap 2023, which was held in Riyadh from February 6-9, 2023.
